    Did you use a filter to allow you to get capture the stars in the background, as well as the shadowed part of the moon? I found that if I wanted either of those, the lit side of the moon would be very blown out. You seem to have captured the whole range.

    Can anyone explain why the shadow moves in a positive azimuthal direction, and not negative? I would have expected the shadow to begin covering the moon from the “bottom” moving “upward,” being that this occurred just before sunrise in North America. Thanks!
